Short film contest promotes recycling
To raise public awareness of the need for environmental protection, the Hong Kong Waste Management Association has organized a student video competition, “From Waste to Wonder”. Tertiary students can submit a video clip of three to four minutes conveying the message: How waste can be managed and transformed into usable items. Individuals or groups of four can compete for HK$3,000. Students can send an application form to ymc@hongkongwma.org.hk before May 31.
Scholarships to Japan Universities
Japan will offer scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at Japanese universities as a research student. Qualified candidates can enter one of the top 10 leading institutions in Japan such as Tokyo University and Kyoto University.
