Journalism Students Head to Washington D.C. to cover the U.S Presidential Election

“After observing the reporters from Voice of America, who used iPhone and Skype to live stream from Republican Party headquarters on Election Night, I learned that MOJO is going to be part of the wave of the future, and it is the most time and cost efficient way of news production,” said student Ryan Fung.

Lecturer Amy Wu who led the trip said, “The trip not only gave students the opportunity to experience and report on the U.S. Presidential Elections, but was also a chance to observe how newsrooms and journalism works in the U.S. Students had the chance to meet and network with senior news executives, as well as have a lively discussion and dialogue with journalism students at the American University. We hope to offer more such opportunities down the road, and thank the University and the Department for their full-hearted support.”
